Sri Alluri Venkateshwara Rao garu Chairman, Avanthi Feeds Limited, Kovvur has established AVR Trust in February 1999 with the sole aim of starting a degree college at Kovvur. The objectives for which the trust is formed are: To establish, maintain, run educational institutions and to contribute funds to any institution carrying on the similar objects. To establish, maintain, run educational institutions and to contribute from *****out of the trust**** funds to any institution carrying on the similar objects. To grant scholarships to the poor and meritorious students for their studies in India. To provide relief either financially or in any other manner to the victims and sufferers in any natural calamity. To provide Medical Relief for the poor by way of contributions or by establishing Hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers
Note:- The objects mentioned in articles (A) to (D) Supra shall be independent of each other and the Board of Trustees are hereinafter constituted may from time to time, apply the funds of the Trust in carrying out all or any of the aforesaid objects of the Trust as it may in its absolute discretion deem fit.
Alluri Bapineedu and Pendyala Ranga Rao College of Science is a degree college affiliated to the Andhra University. It was established in August 1999 by the A V R Trust. Late Sri Alluri Venkateswara Rao Founder Chairman, Avanthi Feeds Ltd, Kovvur has started A V R Trust for the promotion of higher education to the people of Kovvur and surrounding villages as there was a long felt need for a degree college in this area.
The College is run on two basic concepts " Good standards of education " and " Maintenance of discipline " . Ever since its inception the college is getting good results and maintaining good discipline. The results achieved by the college are evident for this.
The College is run on service motto by the management. One of the special features of this institution is the award of merit scholarships @ Rs.3000/- to ten students every year. The management awards these scholarships to those students who score highest marks in Andhra University examinations every year.
The college is situated amidst green paddy fields and the atmosphere is ideal for an educational institution. There are two pucca structures of 1+2 ; one for PG courses and the other for UG courses.
In the UG block besides library, ladies waiting room, principals room, staff room, 18 class rooms and all science labs are situated. In the PG block, there is separate library, seminar room, 6 class rooms, ladies waiting room and several rooms for laboratories.
The management is very keen in maintaining standards of education and good discipline. Proper care is taken by the principal and staff for the maintenance of standards by conducting unit tests periodically. Proper attention is paid for the student’s attendance and also progress. The college staff will be in constant touch with the parents by writing letters once in a month informing them about percentage of attendance and marks scored by their wards.
Sri. Alluri Venkateswara Rao garu is the second son of Smt. Suryakanthamma and Sri. Bapineedu garu. He was born on 07-07-1933. Upto SSLC he studied at Kovvur and Rajahmundry. During 1952-54 he studied intermediate at Sir CR Reddy College.
For the establishment of a degree college at Kovvur, he started AVR Trust in February 1999 and by August 1999 he started ABN & PRR college. Nearly Rupees Two Crores were spent for the construction of the buildings and other infrastructural facilities. The college was started in association with Sri. Pendyala Narendranadh Chowdary, Sri. Pendyala Venkata Krishna Rao Ex MLA of Kovvur and Sri. Pendyala Achuta Ramaiah of Dommeru
Sri. Venkateswara Rao garu is having a very clear concept of the college, he has given more importance to standards of education and discipline in his college and he is magnanimous in all issues related to the college. His sudden demise on 25-06-2002 is a great loss not only to his family members but also to the staff and students of the college.
Sri. Alluri Indra Kumar is the Present Chairman of "ABN & PRR College" and also Chairman of AVR Trust. Indra Kumar has taken over as Chairman of "ABN & PRR College, Kovvur" after the sad demise of his father Venkateswara Rao garu. As Chairman Indra Kumar has taken steps to start M.Sc.,Organic Chemistry & Analytical Chemistry in the College.
Sri. Indra Kumar did his B.E., in Chemical Engineering from the University of Banglore. He is also the Managing Director of Avanthi Feeds Limited, one of the fastest growing organizations having turnover of Rs 2000Millions,the brain child of Sri Alluri Venkateswara Rao under his able guidance Avanthi Feeds has grown up with leaps & bounds by tie up with pingtai Enterprises Taiwan and Thai Union Feed Mill Co.Ltd.,Thailand.Now Avanthi under his leadership has entered into the markets of USA, Europe, Japan & many countries all over the World.
Sri. Indra Kumar is Co-promoter and director of pat Kari power Pvt.Ltd., a 16MW Hydro-electric power station located in Himachal Pradesh & "Srivasta Power Pvt.Ltd.," 17.2MW Gas based Power Station located in Sivakodu., E.G Dist.,(A.P).
Sri. Indra Kumar is also governing body member of Vignan Jyothi Educational Institutions, Hyderbad.He is now the president of Sir C.R.R Educational Institutions, Eluru and his grand father late Alluri Bapineedu garu was the president of the Sir C.R.R College governing body for nearly 30 years.
Sri N. Ram Prasad is the Secretary & Correspondent of A.B.N & P.R.R College of science. He is the son of renowned Scientist Sri Nuthakki Bhanu Prasad & Grand son of Sri Rama Seshaiah garu. His maternal grandfather is late Sri Pendyala Ranga Rao garu. He took B.Tech (Chemical Engg) from University of Madras during 1975-78. He did his Master Degree in Chemical Engineering at Western Reserve University Cleveland,OHIO,USA during 1978-80.
He is on the trustee Board of AVR trust and also Nuthakki Rama Seshaiah Memorial Trust. He is having membership in the following professional bodies…
Sri N.V. Subba Rao was born on 08-11-36 in Kalarayanagudem of West Godavari District. After passing SSLC in 1953 he joined in Sir C.R Reddy College Eluru and passed B.Sc; in 1957. He took his Post Graduate Degree in Economics from B.R College, Agra (U.P).
He joined in Sir C. R. Reddy College as Lecturer in Economics in the year 1960 and retired as Principal of Sir C R Reddy college in Nov 1994. He worked as Administrative Officer of Sir C R Reddy institutions for two years and Principal of RITAMS Degree College, Tanuku for another two years. In April 1999 he joined as Principal of A.B.N & P.R.R College of Science, Kovvur.
His unstinted efforts for the development of the college have been continuing till today. He is the most successful principal who got utmost freedom & Liberty from the management to run the college in his style. He is loved & respected by each & every staff member of the college for his simplicity & the cordial relationship he maintains with them.
He treats the students as his children and he has an intuitive rapport with them. He encourages them & brings out the hidden talent.
He is a man of wise and firm determination who achieved success…
